JOHNSTOWN, Pa. - For the second consecutive week, Zack Hartmann took first place in singles play as the Westmoreland County Community College men's bowling team took first place in a match hosted by Penn Highlands.
Hartmann set a new high series for the team and the league this year when he finished at 590 Friday, as he finished 23 pins in front of Justin Schmitt of CCAC. He set the tone for the day by scoring 224 in the opening game, the second-highest score of the day. The top score for the afternoon was turned in by Westmoreland's Chris Gaia, who scored 243 in his third game Friday, which helped him finish third overall with a series total of 520.
Earning fourth place in the match was another Wolfpack roller, as Austin Douglas posted a strong line of 194-146-171 to score 511. The Westmoreland contingent was rounded out by Nate Pawluk, who scored 427, and Alex Wheeler, who finished at 397.
