Baseball Opens the 2022 Season
After having their original season opening games snowed out, the Wolfpack Baseball team finally was able to kick off the 2022 season at home against Finger Lakes Community College Friday afternoon.
Finger Lakes was able to jump out to a 3-0 lead after the first inning, before adding two more in the third, and 5 more runs in the sixth, in route to a 10-5 victory on opening day vs the Wolfpack.
Starter Jared Wagner went 3.2 innings giving up 5 runs (3 earned runs) on 4 hits, while striking out 2. Cody Adomnik came in for 1 inning of relief, and went 1-2-3, with a strike out to end the inning. Offensively catcher Ronnie Howard went 1 for 3, a walk, and 2 RBI's. While freshman Ben Anderson, Brayden Patton, and Cameron DePalma each had one hit a piece, Anderson's hit being a double.
The Wolfpack will look to get into the win column Saturday as they take on Finger Lakes again in a double header, starting at noon at Westmoreland.
