Westmoreland Swept by CCAC
After renewing the rivalry early last week, Westmoreland County Community College made the trip to play a double header at CCAC. Due to rain the game was moved from Saturday to Sunday and was held at the No Offseason facility.
In game 1, CCAC took an early 2-0 lead and went on to win the game 11-1 in six innings. Ronnie Howard's double was the only extra base hit, while Ben Anderson, Dom Koch, Kameron Pritts, and Jared Wagner each added a hit a piece. The Wolfpack were busy on the base paths as well with Cameron DePalma stealing two bases and Luke Savage swiping one.
DePalma started the game going 3.1 innings, and was tagged with the loss. He struck out 3 while letting up 3 earned runs. Cody Adomnick came in to finish up the final 2.2 innings allowing four earned runs on seven hits.
In game 2 saw Westmoreland jump out to a quick first inning two run lead, before CCAC scored 4 in the bottom of the second inning on their way to a 8-4 win. Ben Anderson added 2 more hits, giving him three between the two games. Koch added hit second hit of the day, while Brayden Patton, double, and Jacob Piktel , single, each added a hit each. As in game 1, the Wolfpack swiped three bases in game 2 as well, with Patton, Anderson, and Logan Gustafson each stealing a base.
Jared Wagner took the mound for game two and went 3 innings, while striking out 2 and letting up 6 earned runs. Leo Bravo, who went 6 innings of shut out ball his last time out vs CCAC, went three innings on Sunday. He allowed two runs, one earned, on four hits, and struck out three.
Next up for Westmoreland will be a trip to Lakeland County Community College for a double header on Wednesday, with a 1pm first pitch.
