Women's Basketball With Looking Forward to Conference Tournament
Wednesday afternoon the Wolfpack Women's Basketball team played host to Butler Community College in their final WPCC Conference game before the Tournament this weekend. With a great defensive effort the Wolfpack held Butler to 38 points through 3 quarters, until Butler exploded for 25 points in the final quarter with a final score of Butler 63, Westmoreland 55.
Three members of the Wolfpack scored in double digits. Makayla Boda was the high scorer with 19 points. Angel Kelly added in 13 points, hitting three 3 point shots in the process. Chloe Willochell added in 11 points as well. Hannah Wedow added in 8 points, while Alexia Stanek and Autumn Stewart both added 2 points each. Stanek played outstanding defense in the game, but was forced to the bench for much of the 4th quarter due to foul trouble.
Butler will be the top seed in the WPCC Tournment, and Westmoreland will be the two seed. Westmoreland will host CCAC on friday afternoon at 5pm, with the winner traveling to Butler on Saturday evening for a rematch at 6pm.
