Tuesday afternoon, the Westmoreland County Community college baseball team traveled to Kaiser West Virginia to take on Potomac State in a non-divisional doubleheader.
In the second inning of game one Westmoreland jumped out to a three nothing lead on a triple by freshman Noah Matson, And a sac fly by Jake Sincak. Westmoreland then struck for 11 runs between the fifth and seventh innings. Sincak went 2-4 driving in three runs, Sean Franzi Was 3-4 with four RBIs. Jake Domkowski had two hits, including a solo home run. While Owen Dumbroski went 4-4 and scoring 4 runs.
Jake Kitz went the first 5.2 innings allowing 4 runs on five hits, while striking out two, and earning the win. Larry Weaver came in and pitched a scoreless 1.1 innings, allowing no hits and closing out game one, for the Wolfpack's 14 to 4 victory.
Game two saw the Wolfpack's offense pick right back up where it left off in game one. Scoring five runs in the second inning, four runs in the third and then tacking on four more between the fourth and fifth innings in a 13 to 6 win.
Sincak continued his red hot day going 4-5, driving in six runs, and hitting his first two home runs of the season. Owen Saiani and Franzi both added in two more hits. While Dumbroski and Franzi each added in two more RBI's each. Cameron Seabol and Darren DeRiggi each added an RBI.
Stevie Hasson started game 2 and went 3 innings allowing 3 hits and and 1 run. Riley smith, Robbie Andrew's, and Jake Domkowski each went 0.2 innings each to close out the win.
With these two wins, the Wolfpack move to 14-6 on the season. They will next take the field Saturday afternoon at 1 PM as they play host to a Region 20 opponent in Allegany College of Maryland for a doubleheader.
