Westmoreland honors Sophomores in Last Game of the Season
Westmoreland played their last game of the 2024-25 season on Friday against CCBC Catonsville. The wolfpack athletic department honored their second year particapants on sophomore night. This is when the two year participants were reconized for their contribution and dedication to their respective athletic teams. The men's basketball team had 5 sophmores on their roster which 3 of them were second year participants. Those players were Tyler Travillion, Adam Calderon, and Braylin Ryan.
It was a very exciting first half as the two teams battled back and forth scoring a lot of points and making tough baskets. The wolfpack sophomores started the game and set the tone with their play. Two captains, Marvel McGowan and Adam Calderon, were leading Westmoreland making big plays on both ends of the floor. McGowan had some great takes to the basket and Calderon was hitting some big three point shots including one right before time expired in the first half. Westmoreland trailed 48-42 at the break.
The wolfpack came out of the break cold from the floor and saw a lot of shoots rim out. They continued to battle and close the gap as the game went on but could not do enough to get over the hump. The final score ended up CCBC Catonsviile 88 and Westmoreland 69. McGowan lead the wolfpack in scoring with 15 points and Calderon added 13 points. This game concluded Westmoreland's 2024-25 season.
