Westmoreland XC Takes on the Field at UPG Invite
This past weekend the Westmoreland County Community College men's and women's cross country team travailed 4 miles from campus to the Westmoreland County Fairgrounds for a meet hosted by Pitt Greensburg.
The women's 6K race was the first event of the day. Four members of the women's cross country team took part in this event lead by sophomore, Kylie Klinger's 12th place finish with the time of 32:52. Next to break the line with sophomore Lexie Kepple in 17th place with a time of 34:34. Eva Lichty was next for the Wolfpack in 22nd place in a time of 36:58. Rounding out the women's team was sophomore Avery Bailey placing 37th in a time of 49:35.
For the men's 8k sophomore Adam Halinka was the first member of the team to cross the finish line with a time of 42:35 in 22nd place. Freshman Ben Metts, competing in his first 8k, placed 34th with a time of 53:38. Rounding out the men's squad was Garrett Hosey in 38th place with a two minute and 28 second PR finishing with a time of 58:01.
The Wolfpack will get right back at it this coming Saturday as they traveled to Mount Aloysius College for a men's and women's 5K starting at 9:45 AM
