Team Stats
Garrett College
The 2018 Westmoreland County Community College softball team opened their home schedule with a split to Garrett College on Monday. Westmoreland dropped their opener 8-5 as the Lakers bounced back from a 5-0 deficit for the win. The nightcap was a different story as the Wolfpack jump out to an early lead and went on to seal their season's first win 5-3. Samantha Poklembo earned her first college win in the circle while Hope Hixson secured the win picking up the save in relief. With the split, the Wolfpack improved to (1-3) on the young season.
Batter Box: Alexa DeFrank added four hits including a double and RBI while Marissa Roberts sprayed in three hits tagging a double and RBI in the win. Samantha Reedy and Alexis McKnight both added doubles and a RBI as Peyton Tazza laced a triple.
On Deck: Westmoreland will travel to Penn State Dubois on Thursday for an afternoon double header as first pitch is slated for 1:00 p.m.
