Holmes Pulls Down 22 Rebounds
Saturday afternoon the West Moreland County community college women's basketball team played host to Frederick Community College and their second to last home game of the season.
This matchup saw the women's Wolfpack play one of their best games of the season led by freshman Riley Holmes, who amassed 22 rebounds in the game. Holmes pulled down 11 offensive, and 11 defensive rebounds. With her 22 rebounds, Riley set a single game record for the Wolfpack, for rebounds in a single game. Riley was also the high scorer for the Wolfpack in the game scoring 11 points. Jayla Morales was next for the Wolfpack with nine points, and Olivia Aumer added eight points for the Wolfpack. Morales had one of her best games of the season as well as she dished out nine assists to her teammates. Homes also led the team with two steals and two blocks as well.
This was the first game of back-to-back regional games for the Wolfpack is Sunday. They will play host to Chesapeake College. The women will then travel with the men's team to Anne Arundel Community College next Sunday for a match up against the RiverHawks.
