Westmoreland Hosts Final Home Match
It took a shotgun start, but The Westmoreland County Community College golf teams got their final home matchup against CCAC, Penn Highlands, and Butler beat the rain.
The women's team placed first, second, fourth and fifth overall in today's match up. Jada Ford was the top finisher on the day with a round of 94 on their home course. Bryn Baluh's score of 99 was good enough for second place. Nikkita Vojnik was next for the Wolfpack with a 105, and Rachael Ayres placed 5th overall with a total score of 115.
The men's team defeated CCAC in the team portion of the event 297 to 329. Sophomore Bret Worthington was to low man for the Wolfpack with a -1 round of 71. Luke Anderchak and Noah Bubyak came in tied for second place with rounds of 74. Tied fo 5th place was Aiden Duffy and Gunner Shoup with scores of 78. Brodie Cuthbert and Ethan Hixson rounded out the men's team with scores of 79 and 89.
Next up for the Wolfpack will be a trip back to Lake Arthur to play in a match hosted by Butler County Community College next Friday at 11am.
