Saturday afternoon the Westmoreland County Community College volleyball team took part in a tri-match with Kent State Tuscarawas and Penn State New Kensington, at Penn State New Kensington.
First up vs the Wolfpack was Kent State, who won the match in three sets 25-23, 25-11, 25-7. sophomore Paige Klinger was tops on the team with 6 kills. Freshman Bryn Shearer led the team with 11 digs, while Sarah Fulton and Klinger added 9 more digs each. Emma Mullett had the only ace for the Wolfpack, and Haley Maines led the team with 5 assists.
In the second half of the doubleheader Westmoreland took on Penn State New Kensington, who took the match in three sets as well with scores of 25-15, 25-23, and 25-22. Bryn Shearer led the team in Kills, and digs, with 7 and 20. Emma Mullett had 6 kills, and Paige Klinger and Renah Kozemchak both had 5. Haley Maines again led the team with 5 assists.
Next up for the Wolfpack will be a match at Beaver County Community College on Monday evening at 6pm.
