The Westmoreland County Community College Volleyball team kicked off the 2024-25 school year with a trip to Butler County Community College. Westmoreland is returning 5 members from last year's team including Skyler Durst, Cecilia Henderson, Kylie Price, Emily Schuck, and Faith Shean.
Butler ended up winning the match 3-0, winning 25-11, 25-14, 25-15. Adalyn O'Rear, Freshman from Southmoreland, led the Wolfpack with 4 kills and 4 blocks. Kylie Price topped Westmoreland with 3 digs, while O'Rear and Brailee Price, Freshman from United, added 2 digs a piece. O'Rear also led the team with 9 points while Emily Schuck had 4.
Next up for the Wolfpack will be the kickoff to the home schedule with a game against Penn Highlands Tuesday night at 7pm.
