Tuesday night Westmoreland played host to Chesapeake College in the in their second to last game of the season. Chesapeake ended up taking the match 3-1, in very close sets
It took extra points for the Skipjacks to win the first set 26-24. Westmoreland then came back in the second set winning 25-21. The third set belonged to the Skipjacks as they took the set 25-19. The last set saw Chesapeake win 25-22.
Emily Schuck and Brailee Price both combined for 25 of Westmoreland's 32 kills. Kylie Price was tops on the team with 26 assists over the four sets. Brailee, Emily and Cecilia Henderson all earned 3 service aces a piece. Westmoreland had a season high 13 service aces against Chesapeake. Brailee Price (9) and Faith Shean (5) combined for 14 digs in the match.
With only 1 match left for the season against Howard, on Wednesday Oct 23rd at 6pm. This will be sophomore night for the volleyball team where the two year players will be recognized. This years sophomores are Cecilia Henderson, Faith Shean, Emily Schuck, Kylie Price, and Skyler Durst.
