Westmoreland Defeats Baltimore City Community College in Second Game of their Tri-Match
The Westmoreland County Community College women's volleyball team put together one of its most complete performances of the season on Saturday afternoon, earning a straight-set sweep over Baltimore City Community College (25–22, 25–12, 25–12) at the NJCAA tri-match hosted in Rockville, Maryland.
With the victory, the Wolfpack improved to 3–10 overall (0–2 in conference play), while the Panthers dropped to 0–8 (0–5 conference).
Westmoreland's offense found its rhythm after a close opening set, hitting .176 as a team and finishing strong in the final two frames. Lilliana Davis led the attack with nine kills and a .353 hitting percentage, while adding two service aces and three digs. Adalyn O'Rear chipped in five and four kills, respectively, combining for 15 points on the afternoon.
Setter Iszabella Confer directed the offense with 17 assists and a match-high seven service aces, while Nikkita Vojnik provided a steady all-around effort with three kills, five aces, and two digs.
Defensively, the Wolfpack held Baltimore City to a -.114 team hitting percentage and recorded 12 total digs with solid back-row play and improved blocking.
Westmoreland opened the match with a tight 25–22 first-set win before dominating the next two sets 25–12 and 25–12 to close out the sweep in just over an hour.
