KEYSER, W.Va. - The Westmoreland County Community College volleyball team traveled to Potomac State Thursday and dropped a pair of 3-0 decisions to the Region XX-leading Catamounts.
The first match was won by Potomac 25-12, 25-10, 25-17. For the Wolfpack attack, Haley Maines had three kills, while Samantha Duncan and Jessica Williams had two apiece. Duncan also served a pair of aces, while Ashley Bish brought up 10 digs from the back row.
In the second match, Williams posted team-highs of seven kills and three blocks, but the Catamounts picked up the win by scores of 25-14, 25-15, 25-8. Morgan Brown and Duncan both registered five assists in the match and Bish again led the team with four digs.
Westmoreland will be off for a week and return to the court on Friday, March 26 in a 7 pm match at Penn Highlands. The match will serve as the Region 20 Division II Tournament semifinal, with the winner advancing to face Potomac State on March 31 in the title match.
